The Bremen University of Applied Sciences was founded in 1982 of the colleges of economics, technology, social pedagogy and -economics, and nautical science. The core idea – the coat of arms of Bremen. A key beard with fourfold curl. The merger of four universities. A strong sign.

8,000 students in 70 courses of study. Each key has its individual beard, each student its own sign, each department its identifier. One language. One alphabet.



Designs are only as good as they are realizable. 

HSB's brand design is reduced to the essentials, leaves room for students, teachers and faculties – and is extremely easy to reproduce.
